Step 6. Assigning Employee Leave Group, Leave Calendar and Leave Approving Flow

At this stage, you can be said to have completed the initial set up of the e-Leave module. This page is to guide you on how to set up the e-Leave related settings for a new joiner. 

First, create a new Employee in the system. If you are unsure of how to do so, refer to this link. After created the new Employee, update the right Career Progression stage for that Employee. This is utmost important as it will affect the calculation and entitlement of Leave for that Employee. 

To create new employee detail, go to Home-> HRIS Main -> Employee List . Click on "Create" button and it will bring you to the screen below:


Note: After filled up the employee details, it is compulsory to filled up Employee Miscellaneous as this screen was capturing Marital Status which is important for Leave module.  

You will be brought to a page similar to the below, the Career Progression tab. 




For e-Leave module, the minimal that you need are the below: 

  • Create Career Progression - under 'Description', choose from the drop down list 
  • Update Calendar & GPS Settings - For 'Group Policy and Schedule', choose the GPS group accordingly where GPS group used to setup the working calendar and approving routing workflow. For 'Holiday and Other Settings', choose the right Leave Calendar from the drop down list.
  • Update Leave Group - under 'Leave Group', choose the relevant Leave Group 

Once the above are done, you will need to ensure that the system start calculating the Leave entitlement for this new Employee.


Scroll to the bottom of the page, and tick the box 'Generate Leave Entitlement' (located at the bottom of the screen).

Then click 'Save'.  

In order for the new joiner login to the system to apply leave, there is a need to activate the login. To activate new joiner access on this system, refer to this link.
