Step 5.1. Create Allowance/Deduction Group

For most companies, there will be allowances that applicable or payable to all, and there will be allowances that for a certain group of people only. For example, Sales personnel might enjoy Travel Allowance, but not Over Time Allowance, et cetera. 

Hence it is practical to create a few Allowance Group to cater to a different group of personnel that is entitled to different Allowances.

Note: The steps in creating the Allowance Group is the same for the Deduction Group.

To create a new Allowance Group, follow the steps below.

Step 1, 2 & 3: Go to Payroll -> Allowance and Deduction Setting -> Allowance Group  

To create Deduction Group you can follow this steps and follow the steps from step 4 onward.

Step 4: Click 'Create' button to create new allowance group. 

Step 5: Enter the name of the new Allowance Group in the column of 'Description'. 

Step 6: Select the type of allowances under the 'Available List'

Step 7: Click the arrow button to move them to the 'Selected List'.

Step 6: Check and confirm the chosen Allowances are right for your intended group, then click 'Save'.
