Step 6.5. Create Overtime/Deduction Rate/Daily Rate Group

Note: Please be informed this article also refers to the step on how to create Deduction Rate and Daily Rate Group. You will just need to replace the Overtime keyword in the steps to Deduction Rate/Daily Rate if you are creating Deduction Rate/Daily Rate Group.


This section will guide you on how to create a new Overtime Group. Having a few different overtime group can simplify your operations because it allows you to set different OT rate, OT formula and even hardship allowance for different group of workers.


Step 1 ,2 & 3: Go to Payroll -> Overtime Setting -> Overtime Group


Step 4: Click 'Create' button to create a new overtime group.

Step 5: Enter the name of Overtime Group that you want to create in the column. 

Step 6: Then choose the OT Formula from the drop down list.

Step 7: If you want to create a new OT Formula here, tick the circle of 'Create New Formula'. You will see the table appear: 

Here you can use the mathematical formula provided here to create your own new OT Formula. You can also refer here for details on how to create a new OT Formula

 

Step 8: Similar to the setting for Overtime Formula in the above, you can also choose if you want to use the existing formula or create a new one for Hardship Allowance. If you choose to create a new Formula for Hardship Allowance, the table will show up.

Step 9: After you have created or choose the formula for Hardship Allowance, click 'Save'. 

You have just created a new Overtime Group.
