As you may be aware, every time an employee does overtime, the system would compute the overtime hours as per your overtime policy, and the overtime hours will be reflected in the employee's Time Entry as Actual OT.
e-Overtime is the automated workflow of overtime approval whereby if there are any Actual OT hours generated by the system, an overtime application will automatically be routed to the designated superior for approval.
Once the OT application is approved by the superior (MSS), the system would update the Time Entry with the Approved OT hours, which is the OT units that will be included in your Conditional Pay for payroll integration.
Example:
On Fri 17 as shown in the screenshot below, the system captures 4 hours of OT done by the employee based on the clocking data and the overtime policy assigned to the employee.
This will create an e-Overtime application to be routed to the designated approver for approval. The approver will have to login to the system as Manager > Approval Actions > List of Pending Overtime Application > select an e-Overtime record:
If the final Approved OT units are 4 hours as shown, the employee's Time Entry would be updated with the Approved OT.
