1.2 Smart Filter

1.2 Smart Filter

Smart Filter is a quick way to filter out the unwanted information and allows you to find what you need faster.

Usually, you will find Smart Filter near where the Advanced Search are because these two are inter-related. Smart Filter is easier to use compare to Advanced Search, but equally powerful.

Default Smart Filter:

Smart Filter with Advance Search:

The concept of Smart Filter is that it will save the previous setting or search criteria that you have used and allows you to do the same search at other pages or module. This save your time to input the search criteria again.

Note: Please note that if you do NOT have any record of Advanced Search, the default selection in Smart Filter is 'None'. But if you used Advanced Search before, the selection in the Smart Filter will become 'previous cache'. In other words, the system will automatically save your previous search record, in case you need to use it again.

If you do NOT want the system to search based on the 'previous cache', then click the 'Clear' button. Smart filter selection will become 'None' again.

Smart Filter is easy and simple to use. Some times, you may be even realise that you were using it! For example, you used Advanced Search to download Employee's name for those who are age 35 and above, and Job Grade 2 in e-HRIS. But you also need their record in applying Leave for this year. Such information can only be retrieved from eLeave module.

So you need to go to e-Leave, perform the search again. However, this time, as long as the Smart Filter selection is shown as 'previous cache', you just need to click the 'Search' button directly.
