Step 7.3. Create Unit Rate Item

To create a new Unit Rate, you can follow these steps.


Step 1, 2 & 3: Go to Payroll  -> Unit Rate Setting -> Unit Rate Setting

 

Step 4: Click 'Create' button

Step 5: Firstly, decide which Unit Rate Group is applicable to the new Unit Rate that you are going to create soon. Choose the Unit Rate Group from the drop down list. 

Step 6: Then choose the Unit Rate Description from the second drop down list. ("Description")

Step 7: Enter value of the 'Unit Rate' in the column here. 

Step 8: 'Sequence Number' is for you to decide where this Unit Rate will be placed relative to other Unit Rates. If you enter 1, then it will be display first before other Unit Rate that have a Sequence Number higher than 1. 

Step 9: The 'Old Code List' is only used by the Technical Support Team, hence you can ignore it here. 


Step 10: After that, decide if this new Unit Rate is contributing to any of the Statutory Fund.

Please note that once you tick any of these boxes, it will be one of the wages of these Statutory Fund, hence income earned by Employee for this Unit Rate will be subject to contribution to these funds. (what is wages?)


Step 11: Similarly, you can also choose if you want this Unit Rate will be included in calculation of any of these elements. 


 Step 12: Click 'Save' and you have just created a new Unit Rate.
