Proposed Back Up Plan

For outright purchased clients, it is advisable to duplicate few backup copies in different location to safeguard data lost. Here are the proposed backup plan for your reference:  
  1. Backup has to be performed daily at least. It can be done either by scheduler or manual.
  2. Backup should be located in different hard drive. E.g: Performs a daily back from drive C: to drive D: where data located at separate physical hard drive.
  3. Backup to external hard drive daily. Only authorized personnel should have access to the backup copies of the data. As the personnel could have the right to restore the database and view the information.
  4. Backup to cloud such as using Microsoft One Drive or Google Drive or such.
  5. Restore the backup copy of data at least once a month to ensure the backup copy is working.

The aforementioned backup plan may still cost 1 day data loss. User may also consider for a more frequent backup plan such as per hour basis provided the hard disk space is sufficient. The fail over plan is not covered and customer’s IT department may consider RAID 5 to mitigate the risk.
