3.14 Payroll - Why Employee's Salary Entry Did Not Contribute PCB?
Question:
Why the employee's PCB contribution still shows zero even after clicking on the recalculate button?
Answer:
a) If the employee's total salary for the year is less than RM34,200, there will be zero PCB contributions. For employees that joined middle of the year and has worked in other companies, update their ex-employment income information for accurate PCB calculation.
b) Employee's Income Tax Setting was not set up. Navigate to the employee's profile -> Payroll -> Income Tax Setting
RED : Select the Effective Month, Effective Year, Status and Marital Status -> Save.
GREEN : For employees who has children, key in the number of children in the respective category. Eg. Tan Kim Hao has 2 children. 1 under the age of 18 years claimed full relief and another child 18 Years & above and studying claimed half relief.
