2.1 Entitlement Formula

Step 1 ,2 &3: Leave -> Leave Policy Setting -> Leave Entitlement Formula

This is where you can define how the Employee will earn their leave.

The Screen will look as below.

 Leave Entitlement Formula
There are three different ways to calculation the Leave Entitlement, ie Calendar, Anniversary and Join Date.

  • Calendar: leave entitlement is calculated based on calendar months, ie January to December. The system also allow the flexibility to choose which month to start
  • Anniversary: leave entitlement is calculated based on the anniversary month
  • Join Date: leave entitlement is calculated based on the actual join date of the Employee

Different method used to yield different result, hence be sure to choose only one of the methods here that fits your company Leave Policy

 Reconcile Date

Allows you to set the date to reconcile the Leave Entitlement for Employees

 First Service Month
The day of the month that if Employee join before or on this day, the joining month can be taken as full service month and entitle for leave

 Half Service Month
The day that if Employee join and still be able to calculated as half of leave for that month. For example if the number is 20, if Employee join on 21st and after of the month, this month will NOT be counted as half service month

 Leave Earn Calculation Method
The system allows user to choose from three methods of Leave Earn Calculation, ie Actual Monthly Basis, Flat Monthly Basis and 365 Days Basis

  • Actual Monthly Basis: leave earn for a particular month is based on the actual entitlement for that month and it has additional feature of carry forwarding left over portion of a day caused by rounding from December to next year leave.( For example, if company policy has day rounding policy of truncating whatever decimal point (0.1 round to 0; 0.9 round to 0), and for an employee having 25 day entitlement and start join in February
