How to assign Immediate Superior & Alternate Superior?
It is compulsory to assign immediate superior and alternate superior which will act as approvers for leave applications, overtime applications and employee self-service information update applications.
Here are the steps to guide you on how to assign immediate superior or alternate superior.
Locations: HRIS -> Human Resource -> Employee List.
- Edit (pencil icon) and go to the HRIS tab.
- In the career progression screen, scroll down to Calendar & GPS setting.
- Click on Browse button to select the Immediate Superior and Alternative Superior.
- Save.
Tips
If the staff has a future career progression record, the immediate superior must be updated in a career progression which is effective on the current date. If the immediate superior is updated on a future career progression, the update will not take effect until the effective date of the future career progression record.
For example, if the staff has 2 career progression dated 1/1/2015 (future date) and 1/1/2011 and If the immediate superior is updated on the record dated 1/1/2015, it will not take any effect and it must be updated the setting or immediate superior to the record dated 1/1/2011. It is advisable user to change the setting or immediate superior for both records.
